The Associate Producer (AP) produces portions of projects or content and serves as a steward of idea amplification and execution. The AP helps the Producer facilitate the execution of complex projects, and/or takes the lead in less complex projects. The AP’s goal is to explore the vision of the creative idea and determine the best path to execute the work, which may include various options for deliverables. The AP also should be able to understand the limitations and possibilities of the medium. The Associate Producer partners with the Project Management, Creative, Strategy, Business Leadership, and Technology teams.

The Associate Producer:

o Plays supportive role in creative executions.

o Provides production ideas, knowledge or experience that will elevate the creative idea.

o Develops relationships with vendors and companies to allow Leo Burnett to excel in the industry.

o Provides direction in areas of production to help Creative execute great ideas.

o Provides an execution strategy (based on the creative idea), in conjunction with client’s project parameters.

o Manages testing and quality control through appropriate sources.

· Project Budget/Initiation/Assignments/Scope

o Manages a project-specific production budget.

o Develops project estimates that may include both internal and external costs/resources.

o Is involved in negotiating with vendors to ensure the purchase and production of high-quality work at competitive prices. Evaluates and estimates specifications with appropriate vendors, and recommends changes that will improve both cost and the perceived value.

o Accountable to realistic scope, timing and budget, through consulting and clarification.

o Alerts Project Manager and Account lead to scope creep.

Experience & Education:

- Bachelors degree

- At least 6 months to 1-3 years of experience in advertising or related business is required.

- Experience juggling multiple projects, working with various departments while balancing and prioritizing client demands

- Experience with cost consultants, project management, estimates, budget management preferred
